One of them, the other two are identical machines. All three are lighting up in the back when theyre plugged in, but the screen stays dark and the button in front never lights up. Did all three of these monitors go out on us at the same time? Why did this happen? Is there a way to troubleshoot?

Hi @templaradvisors,

Welcome to HP Support Community.

Thank you for posting your query, I will be glad to help you.

It's quite unusual for all three monitors to go out simultaneously, but it's not impossible. Here are some steps you can take to troubleshoot the issue.

  • Check Connections: Make sure that the cables connecting the monitors to the computers are securely plugged in at both ends. Also, check that the power cables are properly connected.
  • Test with Different Devices: Try connecting each monitor to a different computer or device (if possible) to see if the issue is with the monitors or the computers. This will help determine if the problem lies with the monitors themselves or with the computers they are connected to.
  • Power Cycle: Turn off the monitors, unplug them from the power source, wait for a few minutes, then plug them back in and turn them on again. Sometimes a simple power cycle can resolve minor issues.
  • Check for Power Supply Issues: If the monitors are receiving power (indicated by the lights in the back), but the screens remain blank, there might be an issue with the power supply to the monitors. You could try plugging them into a different power outlet or using a different power cable to rule out power-related issues.
  • Inspect for Physical Damage: Check the monitors for any physical damage, such as cracks in the screen or damaged cables. Sometimes physical damage can cause issues with the display.
  • Reset Monitor Settings: Most monitors have a reset option in their settings menu. Try resetting the monitors to their factory defaults to see if that resolves the issue.
  • Update Drivers: If the monitors are connected to computers, make sure that the graphics drivers on the computers are up to date. Outdated drivers can sometimes cause display issues.

If all three monitors went out simultaneously and none of the troubleshooting steps above work, it's possible that there was a power surge or some other external factor that caused damage to the monitors.

I hope this helps.

Take care and have a good day.
