HP Recommended
Product: F3W43AA
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)

The EliteBook 1040 G2 does not have an HDMI port - only Display Port.

Plugged in the F3W43AA  adapter and connected it to an HP 2311x monitor with HDMI input.

Set monitor to HDMI input.

Changed laptop to display dual screens - laptop and monitor.

 

Got "Check Video Cable" message.
