Elite Desk 800 G1
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have an Elite Desk 800 G1 that I upgraded from Windows 7 to 10. It has two HP monitors that were connected to the display ports with  display to vga adapter as the monitors only have VGA inputs. It has been working for several months with extended desktop but suddenly the monitors are going to sleep mode after 2 seconds. I now have 1 monitor plugged into VGA and working but as the only other output to monitor is DisplayPort I have it connected via the adapter. When I choose extended desktop in display settings the second monitor shows but when I try to apply it reverts to single display. When I turn on the computer the monitor says No Input signal, gives a recommended setting then immediately goes to sleep mode.

Can an I get some advice. Is it a driver issue or a hardware issue, either a monitor or motherboard problem. I notice that the display driver via Windows 10 update is a later version that the one on HP website. I have tried both versions to no avail.
