HELP! LOL
I picked up a HP Pavilion W1707 LCD Monitor from a dude on craigslist to use on my new EZVIZ home security camera system. I had the system set up to try everything out inside my home via HDMI to my television just fine. When I moved the system to where I am setting it up for good I set up the monitor via VGA cable to its base unit. Upon powering it up the monitor displays the error message that it needs to be set to 1440x90-60hz and I am unable to view the camera system. Without having a PC to connect it to and the buttons on the front of the monitor itself seem to be locked, how can I do a factory reset so I can adjust the resolution manually? I'm afraid I may have to take it to work and connect it to my PC there in order to do that but if someone knows a way around please get back to me. Thanks

Hello;
Allow me to welcome you to the HP forums!
Sorry, but monitors generally do not have reset buttons -- as they have buttons on the front or bottom that are used to set the resolution and other parameters.
If those buttons are not working, then you are stuck -- as there is no other way to bring up the On Screen Display (OSD) to change the monitor settings.
I am a volunteer and I do not work for, nor represent, HP
