HP 24-g014
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Hello,

I would like to use my HP 24-g014 all in one as a display for my XBox One console. The computer has an HDMI port in the back, however, I don't know if this is output only.  When I attempt to connect my console nothing happens and I don't see any obvious settings in control panel. If anyone has a solution to this problem please let me know.

Jerry

Hello, @jerrywahid – Hope you are well 🙂

Welcome to the HP Forum! This is a wonderful location to converse with the community, get assistance and find tips!

I understand that you are trying to connect the Xbox to your HP All-in-One. I am afraid the HDMI port in the all-in-one is only an “out” port and not an “in” port. You need an HDMI in port to connect the Xbox to the all-in-one.
Hence, you cannot connect the Xbox using the HDMI on this machine.

I hope that answers your concern adequately. Let me know!

Good luck 🙂

I appreciate your response. thank you.

I find it ridiculous that this device cannot be used as a monitor. An HDMI input or a dvi input would have increased the functionality of this immensely. At least for me.
