HP25xi
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Sorry if this isn't the proper forum, I cound't find one for monitors...

I recently added a HP25xi that I could use as an external monitor for my laptop (Acer E15 with NVidia GeForce GTX 950M 2GB) when I'm at home.

I'm running Win10 64bit.

I plugged a cable from the monitor's HDMI directly to the HDMI of the laptop.

Everything seems to work, but I wanted to make sure it was running at max efficiency, so:

I downloaded and successfully installed the drivers and HP Support Asst. and My Display

However, the HP Support Asst cannot find the display.

When the My Display program trys to run, it stops after a few minutes and give me a window:

HP My Display has stopped working.

Greetings @Theraphosa

Welcome to HP Forums and Thanks for the post.

I understand that you are facing an issue with your HP Monitor. Happy to help.

Is the display working fine?

HP Support Assistant is designed to detect Notebook, Desktop, and Printers, it would not be able to detect the monitor.

To check the display settings I recommend you to refer to the display settings in the control panel.

As you mentioned to be using Nvidia graphics card, you can download the driver from Nvidia website as well.

If you are not getting any display, please refer to the steps mentioned in this article

For the drivers for the monitor, click here

Let me know if this helped.

If the information I've provided was helpful,

Please give us some reinforcement by clicking the "Accepted Solution" and "Kudos" buttons,

That’ll help us and others see that we’ve got the answers!

Good Luck.
