Having an issue here: Just out of warranty (26 days ago!) TS 310 1124f will not start.  Then connected to AC Adaptor, pushing power button causes the power button to blink (or flash) three times then nothing happens. Anyone have ideas?

Thanking you in advance.

This document is on HP's Web site. It is for TouchSmart PCs and its title is "Computer Does Not Start."

I hope it will be of help,

Thanks for the link George- I've seen it; I was hoping for additionals.

I'm posting this as a solution to my own question.  The problem is 90% of the time resolved by replacing the AS Power Supply.  My 310 1124f did not power up with its own Power Brick but when swapped with a standby 310 1020 AC Adaptor it powered up fine. I then did a full factory recovery and all is well!!

JDK52,

Glad you found it.  That's what the first section of the document pointed to.  Glad you were able to fix it!

I have the excat same issue and have reset the ram, cpu and replaced the power brick.

Still cant believe there is no definitive answer on the problem, I have searched everywhere with no real answer.

Very dissapointing that HP will not let us know what the problem is or hey it can't be fixed or not worth it, especially sine this thread has had over 10k views.

It's funny though I can go on ebay and buy a new board for $114.00 and they have sold over 882 of these boards.

Someone is making out on this deal....

Here is another one for $156.00

So why cant any ot the threads on the net just say "Hey it's the crappy motherboard, replace it!"

Hours of my life waisted researching just to find out that the motherboard needs replacing.

Thank HP

I hope this helps someone else and this will be the last one I ever buy.
