I have a spectre X-360 convertible I opened it up and watch the spring or something behind the hinge break the screen and Crack across from the bottom right-hand corner. It just sits on my desk no falls or abuse. Just opened it. I am 100 days past the warranty. Obviously this is not anecessary unusual issue. I have found that with my first search inquiry about it. I turned off the touch screen so I could continue using it. I used the computer to generate a case number and called support. The employee was so extremely rude. Yes my warranty is up. But I may buy another product from HP in the future. Should treat the callers better. Anyways I finally was able to get a couple words in and told him I would try another support option. What options do I have with this common problem. Is it on a recall for CPSC or anything. Any info would help.

I have brought your issue to the attention of an appropriate team within HP. They will likely request information from you in order to look up your case details or product serial number. Please look for a private message from an identified HP contact. Additionally, keep in mind not to publicly post personal information (serial numbers and case details). If you are unfamiliar with how the Forum's private message capability works, you can learn about that here.
