Hi all,
I am having an issue with my Compaq Presario PC SR5013WM Lightscribe DVD-RM. The problem is that when I put a dvd or cd in all it does is flashes its little green light for a few minutes then pops the dvd/cd back out. I tried taking the dvd-rm out of the desktop and unplugged it from the motherboard, no luck. I also tried going online to find a updated driver for it, no luck there either. I did upgrade the desktop from Windows Vista to Windows 7, would that have something to do with it not working?
Thanks Justin L.

Considering that PC is 10 years old, it could be time to replace the drive. They do fail. Replacements are relatively cheap now. That would be my recommedation. LightScribe is a thing of the past, so do not fret about loosing that, either. That motherboard has SATA prots, so you can upgrade to a SATA drive.
