Computer only a year and a half old - flickering screen constantly

@alexaa718 -- can you attach an external monitor? If so, does it also flicker?

 

On your computer, check the "screen resolution" settings. Try setting it to "800-by-600-by-60-Hertz", or some other "lower-resolution" setting, to see if your screen still flickers.

 

Unfortunately, the HP Warranty was only 12 months.  So, HP won't fix it, at their expense.

But, this does not mean that you can pay HP to fix it.

 

Have you tried taking it to a local owner/operator computer store, to see if they, instead of HP, can help?
