Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I have a macbook pro that occasionally needs an external monitor.

When purchasing this desktop I saw the HDMI port and figured that can be used as an optional external monitor to a laptop. However, I am hearing that it's an HDMI OUT port. or that's what it appears to be.

How do I use the all in one 27-a127c as an external monitor? Do I need any special cables?

Thanks
Eyal

Hi,

Your machine should have the following ports at the back

The HDMI port is HDMI OUT. Conneting two HDMI OUT ports together probably you won't get any far. It is not goining to work.

Regards.

Are you suggesting that HP has designed this desktop computer to not support external devices as a standalone monitor?

Hopefully there should be some work around..

Can the USB-Cinput be used to connect a laptop as an input?
