Looking to play Elite space sim and need to know which graphics card is compatible and will work well.

You need a PCIe x16 graphics card. If you want one with any power, you will also need to replace the PSU with a 400 Watt unit that has POCIe power connectors six-pin and 8-pin.
Your desktop PC is recent enough tso that will alow you can use modern video cards that support UEFI BIOS.
Go to the Can I Run it? website to get recommendations on video cards.
NewEgg.com seems to be a popular online vendor for the US and source for video cards and PSU.
