Hi there,

I have seen many posts where people are asking about gtx 1050 ti on 180 watt 80 plus gold PSU and getting mixed answers.

But HP is selling desktop PCs with same specs in EU where same 180 watt supply is powering gtx 1050ti along with other peripherals .

Example:

https://www8.hp.com/h20195/v2/GetPDF.aspx/c06078980.pdf

https://support.hp.com/my-en/document/c06049219

My question is that if same specs can power gtx 1050 ti in EU why not in other regions where 220/230v is standard.

and gtx 1650 is i guess even more power efficient than 1050ti so that should also fit in

one thing to note here that i have no plans to upgrade the 180 watt psu

My systems Spec are:

Core i5-8500, 1TB HDD, 120 GB SSD, 8 GB DDR4 2666 mhz RAM, 180 watt HP 80 plus gold PSU

can anyone help?

@hornetraptor,

While those cards are rated at 75W, caution should be used. Some GTX 1050Ti and GTX 1650 have a 6 pin PCIE power plug, not supplied with the 180W PSU.  Example would be EVGA.
