Hello all,
I have a Photosmart Premium C309a, connected wirelessly to a network where it's accessed by an iMac and MacBook both running Lion 10.7.4. It's never missed a beat, but recently started to look like it was running out of ink. Some of the colours were low, but the black was still 50% full. After another day or so, it stopped printing black entirely. The cartridge feels like it has ink in it, it's reporting as half full when I query the ink levels, but it won't print any black at all.
Cleaning the print heads achieved nothing, and now when I try cleaning them again I get the error message "Cannot complete operation. The cleaning procedure could not be completed. Please contact HP support."
The support page for my printer doesn't have anything for this error. Can anyone offer some more advice? I don't want to buy $50 worth of new ink for the printer if it's broken beyond repair anyway.

You may want to take a look at this article:

Rather than replace the printhead I would recommend some of the manual cleaning steps to ensure there are no clogged portions of the printhead or communication errors occuring.
Please post back if the manual cleaning process does not resolve the issue.
If my post helped you in any way, please click the blue KUDOS star under my name! It would mean a great deal.
