49 err 3d90a44  When printing the printed page appears blank problem

Welcome to the HP Support Forums. I gather that you are getting a blank page when sending a print job to your HP printer.

 

To better assist you, would you please provide some additional information? To better assist you, where applicable, I have included a guide to assist you in finding the information I am looking for.

 

  • What model and product number of HP printer do you have?  How Do I Find My Model Number or Product Number?
  • How is the printer connected (USB cable, ethernet, or wireless)? Please note that not all HP printers support all methods of connectivity.
  • What operating system are you using on your computer?  whatsmyos.com
  • Do you get the same results when trying to print all documents or just the one document? If it is just one document, have you tried printing the document from a different program?
  • Are you getting any error messages? If yes, are they being displayed on the printer or on your computer?
  • If possible would you please include a screen shot of the printed document?

Hi,

 

I have the same problem as described in a former post.

 

I have an HP LaserJet2055d printer. Last week I got an update of Windows 10. Since that moment, printing has been impossible.

 

I installed the latest PCL6 driver (from the HP website), but the problem is not solved.

 

When I try to print a document (from whatever program: Word, WordPerfect, Photohop, ...), the following occurs.

1) The first time, the printer responds. There goes a sheet of paper through the printer, but nothing is printed on it.

2) The second and following times, nothing happens anymore. I'm getting the '49 err 3d90a44' error and the printer doesn't react at all. The only thing I can do, is to delete the printjobs (but printing still remains impossible afterwards).

 

The problem is persisting for several days now. I need the printer on a daily basis, so HP is in fact blocking my job.

I searched everywhere on the web; without finding a solution.

 

So please let me know how I can restore my printing facilities.

Once switch off and on the printer is working fine with XP  its the 64 bit Windows 10 the driver is incompatible with the new sub-version of Windows 10 64.      If you search forums for "49 err 3d90a44" we are not alone!

 

So please let me know how I can restore my printing facilities.

Hello,

Just fixed the same issue after some trial and error:

- After upgrade tot Win10 the P2055 gave blank page + error 49 / 3D90A44

- Tried both PLC 6 and Postscript drivers and update the P2055 firmware via HP's firmware update tool (by the way the RFU Remote Firmware Update setting is nog present in my P2055 but firmware update succeeded anyway)

- Both universal drivers did not fix the issue

 

What fixed my issue:

- I did the firmware update (HP say's it's required but I dit not test if this works without the update) and chose the Postscript driver (not the PLC 6 driver, but might work didn't test) (read somewhere PLC 5 won't work und Win10)

- In Windows 10 Devicemanager (right-click on Start icon), choos Printers, right-click on de HP Universal Printing PS, chose the first option that in english will probably be named 'update or reinstall driver' (in Duch it is called "Stuurprogramma's bijwerke'n'

 

Printer works fine now. I guess HP's P2055 driver is fine, but the installation program has a bug that causes the driver not to be installed properly. The extra step I added reinstalled the driver properly I expect.
