Just bought an HP Envy Sleekbook and updated to 8.1. I see in all the instructions, it is suggested to uninstall old software, but all I have isdrivers that are preloaded in windows.  How do I uninstall that.  my problem is  "Printer offline", I solve this but powering down/up printer itself.  I had scanning software on old computer running W7.  Now when I'm trying to install "HP Solutions software" from web, not master disk I get same "install not complete" message.  I have tried, USB an wireless.  The icon is in System-Control Panel-Printers and devices.  I am able to print a test page to device. I cannot scan.  Have tried from LCD screen on printer itself & it sez "computer not detected" even tho I have it USB. WTH. Cannot uninstall Windows default drivers, now I have a newish printer that is no good.

You can remove the printer from Devices and Printers. Just right-clich and click Remove.

The HP Printer Install Wizard is a support application from HP that assisted in downloading printer software. This support application is no longer supported by HP. The last update to this software was on September 22, 2015.

 

To download and install the latest version of software for your HP printer, please visit 123.hp.com, HP support website, or HP Support Assistant (in English).
