You must have the setup enabled ahead of time.

Options

Yellow_Arrow_Bullet_2.jpg"Keep Printed Documents" on the printer

Control Panel > icon view > Devices and Printers > Right-Click on your Printer > Printer Properties > Change Properties (where available) > Click tab Advanced >

CHECK Keep printed documents > Click OK

This is not an actual log; rather the method keeps the printed documents in the queue for the purpose or reprinting later.  The method does result in a kind of primitive tracking resource.

It may be necessary to gather the information logged from each computer.

Files located in: C:\Windows\System32\spool\PRINTERS

Yellow_Arrow_Bullet_2.jpg "Enable Operational Log" - View results in the Event Viewer

Open Event Viewer > Applications and Services Logs > Microsoft > Windows

Scroll down > PrintService > Right-Click Operational > Enable Log

Depending on your environment, this method may require that you gather the log information from each system.

Yellow_Arrow_Bullet_2.jpg Track basic printer usage statistics

Open your Favorite browser > enter the printer IP address in the URL / address bar

Embedded Web Server (EWS) >

Tools > Reports > Event Log  or  Usage Report
