We are printing invoices.  It has been fine for many years.  Now, a parentheis "("  and  dash "-"  are randomly printing as  a large circle.  Sometimes a string of numbers is shortened so the last number crowds the number before it. The number 1 sometimes prints as the same Large circle.  November/3/2017 looks like two large connecting circles,/03/20circle 6.  Period at end of sentence is a large circle.  Decimal is a large circle.

Any idea why?  It has never done this before.

It sounds like a driver issue, if you print the built-in configuration pages do they come out okay?

In line with the driver if you're using a pcl6 version of the driver try a pcl5 or vice versa you might try the HP Universal print driver too.

If you are using a generic driver in Windows then use a driver from HP, pcl5 being the technician preferred version.

If my post resolves your issue please click the accepted as solution button under it.
