problem with printing on colour laserjet 1600

i have just replaced all colour cartridges but the left side of the printing is faded.  i have cleaned, and i have don a supplies status page.  black and cyan colours print fine.  yellow - the left third of the colour bar is faded to white.  Magenta hardly shows colour at all.

any suggestions?  thanks

Common issue on this series with the Magenta.  Yellow it is possible also but more than likey you got a bad toner.  See attached instructions on how to fix.  A big job but not that difficult.  I usually leave out the black plastic wire track that goes across the upper part since it is a bear to get back in place and is not necessary.  A couple of wire ties will do the trick.

worked brilliantly!  both yellow and magenta now printing well.  there was only a faint layer of dust when i cleaned the mirrors, but obviously enough to make the difference.  thank you
