Just updated the Conexant audio driver per SP78367 ( Driver version is now 9.0.68.60Bp1). Sound works OK but can't get Bang & Olufsen Control panel to display so I can adjust equalisation settings. B&O icon appears on task bar but it doesn't do anything.

Hi! @Dave131, Thanks for stopping by HP forums!
I understand that B&G control panel does not display after updating the audio driver on your PC.
Please try few steps recommended below.
1. Press Win+R (Windows key and R key) at the same time. A Run dialog will appear.
2. Type devmgmt.msc in the run box and click OK button.
3. In Device Manager, expand category Sound, video and game controllers.
4. Under this category, right-click on Conexant Audio device name, then select Update Driver Software.
5. Click Browse my Computer for driver software.
6. Click Let me pick from a list of device drivers on my computer.
7. Click Have Disk.
8. Click Browse button and navigate to the location where you put the downloaded file, then follow the instructions.
Let me know if this works!
Have a beautiful day ahead! 🙂

Hi,
Try reinstalling the audio software package on the following link.
http://ftp.hp.com/pub/softpaq/sp73001-73500/sp73189.exe
When the reinstallation has completed, restart the notebook.

Hi,
I have a HP EliteBook x360 1030 G2, purchased in October.
After using a headphone or bluetooth speaker for audio, often the sound won't work when the headphones are removed or the bluetooth speaker detached.
This lasted until I had shut down two or three times and then it started working again. Not what I was expecting from HP for an expensive bit of kit, and a bit embarrasing when I need to teleconference.
So, getting a little tired of this, I worked through one of the HP Windows 10 apps, which told me to reinstall something.
And now my Bang & Olufsen Control Panel/Graphic Equaliser app just disappeared. And I still have the intermittent dropping off of the sounds, so this reinstall had no effect other than to make the situation worse.
I asked the helpdesk, and they had me downloading stuff for over an hour, but it has made no difference.
Could I ask if this is a similar problem to the above, and could a HP bod tell me if running sp73189.exe will help? What does it do?
Many thanks,
VJ.
