All is good with system sounds till I start playing video - either built in or MPC, does not matter, I skip a bit or wait 5 mins in and sound gets distorted, system sounds either (that test sound when you change volume on system etc.). Even when video gets paused and app minimized, system sounds are faulty but when I close the player all system sounds go back to normal and vice versa.
Today I did second reinstall in 2 days - first was after 1607 came out as upgrade - system was unstable and slow, recovery did nothing so I did a clean install. After that all hell broke lose and tbh I am not sure if this problem was there before clean install.
Before second install (after 1st clean install) tried all Realtek drivers I could find - first it was latest that came from windows update, then one on HP Drivers page for 250 G4 then Realteks own page. Same stuff. Yes, driver on this machine comes with DTS Studio but here's a problem - without it all sound is almost non existent but with it I can forget about multimedia.
Intel HD drivers do not change anything either. Tried both the latest from MS and forced install of latest from Intel.
Tried disabling driver one by one to test compatibilaty issues between drivers - nothing. Latency tests show all is ok either.
So for now it is either almost no sound or sound from hell.
It was all ok with latest drivers from HP before 1607 (on 1511).
Device is only one month old and it makes it worse.
For me it smells like natural windows and driver that needs to get updated problem.
