Since about a month or two ago, I've been experiencing audio issues with this laptop.

Sometimes after a reboot the audio icon will have a red 'x' and the "No Audio Output Device is installed" message is displayed when I hover over the icon.

I've tried installing the most recent audio drivers via the HP Support Assistant, removed the hardware from Device Manager and have it re-detected. Sometimes this resolves the issue, but more often i just have to keep rebooting until the error message disappears.

The Windows Audio Troubleshooter can't identify the problem, and rebooting until the audio works again is becoming tedious 😕
