I am having an issue with my Microphone on windows 10 x64. I did the tap test and I can see that mic is picking up the sound. Whereas if I try any recording software, I could only hear static noise being recorded. I have tried deleting/uninstalling the driver and installing it back again but in vain. I tried on other OS also, like Fedora and Ubuntu, the mic doesn't work on any of them. I reinstalled Windows 10 as well. I have the latest BIOS and updated windows. I can see many others having the same issue but couldn't a solution.

Please try

(a) Right click speaker icon (bottom right corner),

(b) Select Sounds,

(c) Select Recording,

(d) Right click and enable Microplone Array.

Regards.

As explained earlier, I have already done basic troubleshooting which obviously includes enabling the Microphone array under sound setting.
