Something plastic ended up stuck inside the headphone jack on my laptop. Now I can't get the speakers to play because it thinks it has headphones in it. I cannot afford to have it removed right now. Is there someway to get the speakers to work anyway? I have tried disabling the headphone function on the computer but it has the head phones and speakers connected. Is there any other way to disable them?

- Do you know what exactly got stuck in there?
It is a hardware related issue and you will need to contact HP phone support to get this addressed.
Step 1. Open link: www.hp.com/contacthp/

It is one of those plastic beads that comes in a new purse or bag. I had some floating around in my purse and somehow it got inside my head phone jack. The computer is 4 years old so I am certain the warantee is out of date.
