Hey guys, I have a problem with my HP OMEN laptot (2016) 15 inch... Two months ago I had problem with sound decreasing but then going back up after a while. I solved the problem with upgrading audio drivers. Now I have similar problem, except I the sound decreses nearly to a minimum, I cannot hear anything.. I noticed this a week ago. It happens when I am watching a movie and also when I play games. The sound comes back up when I pause the video and play it again, however in 10 seconds the same thing happens. With games it constatly goes very low, and I can restore it back by ALT+TAB-ing the game but the sound never goes back up to top (100 percent) even thoug on my computer it shows its on 100 and it decreases almost instantly. I did not want to do anything before I ask you guys for help. What should I do?

Welcome to HP Forums,this is a great place to get support, find answers and tips, Thank you for posting your query, I'll be more than glad to help you out 🙂
As I understand sound goes low and high.(Please correct me if I'm wrong and thank you for the details)
I have a few steps you could perform to resolve the issue:
Remove the audio drivers & Reinstall the original drivers Update the Audio drivers from the Official HP website for windows 10 (click on change on the top to switch between OS).
- Increase volume on playback device settings after setting your speaker as the default device.
For more steps, follow a similar post on the HP forums: click here
* Perform a hard reset
* Reset BIOS to defaults
* Run the Audio test from the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI)
* Update the BIOS
* Reset your computer
* Perform an HP System Recovery

I have a two month old Dell computer running Windows 10. I hav not changed anything with respect to sound drivers or sound cards. When I am listening to something on YouTube the sound level increases and decreases randomly. It is VERY annoying, if I'm watching a video I can see the siund level indicater and can immediately counter it though it will happen again in anyhere from15 second to 5 or more minutes. But when I am listening to a subliminal, hypnosis, or binaural beeats audio the randon sound level chagesare more than annoying. A fw minutes ago I was listening with the sound level set to 50% I ha dno sooner relaxed into it when the volume incrased to 100% I jerked up pulled the earbuds out and screamed n anger, which is NOT good for my blood pressure, heart and brain. How do I stop this from happening anymore?

It is generally better to ask about Dell products in the Dell forums, not the HP forums. It is also better to ask about a different issue in a new thread.
Is the problem limited to your in-ear headphones? Do they work correctly on your phone or another sound source? Is the volume setting on the computer changing, or is it just the sound level you hear? Hopefully reflecting on these points will start leading you to an answer. Good luck!
