Sumarizing, I've owned this detachable for 3 days, and the audio quality is lower than the one of a OnePlus 2 cellphone.
I've downloaded all updates, manually checked for all driver updates, and still... the sound quality its same as an old iphone 4. I am yet to mess with the BIOS, hence why I'm asking for help here.
Of note, sometimes on startup I hear a clicking sound, not always tho; some others, when I play music, the sound will distort at certain points. Generally, not even at 100% sound I get a decent quality, not even with 4 speakers doing the work. Hell, my iphone sounds better with a single tinny non-Bang&Olufsen speaker.
Is there a fix for this issue?

I grasp that you have only had this notebook a few days but the sound quality is less than expected. You have updated the drivers but there was no change.
Have you done all your Windows updates?
Have you run the HP Support Assistant ?
Have you run the Windows troubleshooter?
As I do not know what your operating system is this may not be the exact document but it may help:

well... it is fixed now, this is what happened.
After following pretty much everything the HP Assistant recommended, I somehow ended up with a 1on1 chat with ah HP custommer support person, after stating my issue he proceded to take controll of my computer.
In a nutshell:
- I had old drivers, despite updating them via the HP Assistant
- Despite updating my BIOS via the Assistant, it kept telling me I naeeded to update
- the support dude deleted the temp folder and the prefect folder
- apparently, I had the "wrong" audio format and that's why my notebook had the sound quality of a Nokia 5530
- My specter hates Google Chrome and it keeps on crashing, no fix for that yet.
After accessing support.hp.com, finding my device, deleting the drivers manually, deleting the folder mentioned above, downloading the software on HP's website, making sure I had no malware with some obscure anti-malware program, update the BIOS via the support.hp.com's install, I ended up wit kinda decent sound.
To be honest, the quality it's pretty good, it's clear with not clicking, unless I use itunes to reproduce audio. As for the volume..well... seems like max system volume + max youtube volume its not even of the audio loudness of a raw mp3. Most videos come off as too low, but whatever, that's how its going to be.
Can't say I'm dissatisfied, but I'm not 100% happy either.
Not a bad product, I just expected a little more brain on the implementation.
