"USB audio" ? on G60-647NR with Intel Processor & Windows 7 SP1

This is a simple question.  I want to see audio output directly to the USB port, so-called USB Audio? 

Does this notebook support this function?

OR should I be using the HDMI port with a USB cable? (need to order that beast)

I am trying to explore options for send bass and drum tracks to a live audio mixer that handles USB audio input.

I have disabled some drivers to make the 4GB computer run better and I have a fresh install of Windows 7 (from my HP recover partition).

Hi! @Rickenbacker108, Thanks for stopping by the HP Support Forums!

I understand that audio output directly to the USB port.

If you are using a USB speaker you can direct the audio to the USB speakers.

But you cannot redirect bass and drum tracks to a USB Port you have to use USB sound card to direct audio to the USB port. This computer is not built to work that way without the USB sound card.

Thanks for providing that important knowledge.  

I will now focus on sending sound out through the HDMI port.

I actually own three HP G60 notebooks. They have served me well.
