HP Envy 15 Laptop
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

I get the following error message each time I restart my computer:

AccelerometerSt.exe - Application Error.

The application was unable to start correctly (0xc000007b).  Click OK to close the application.

I've tried some of the suggestions posted in this discussion board, but nothing seems to help.  Any new suggestions?

Hi,

Try the following.

Open windows Control Panel, open Programs and Features, right click the entry for HP 3D DriveGuard and select Uninstall - ignore any error message that may appear, just continue.

When this has completed, restart the notebook.

When windows has reloaded, download and install the version of HP 3D DriveGuard on the following link.

I have gotten the same msg since I bought my computer in 2015. I took the computer back to Best Buy for them to resolve it, they couldn't so they gave me a new computer. Same thing. It has done it since then and I have just lived with it because I don't use my computer that often. Today I decided I wanted it fixed. I did what was said here and it didn't help. After I uninstalled and rebooted, I clicked the link to reinstall and it said it was already installed did I want to overwrite. I did, it restarted and I got the same msg. HP Accelerometer will not work with Windows 10.  I am beyond frustrated with this since it has done this since I got the computer. Any new ways to fix this?
