DV6 Wont Power On. AC Adapter Port Light Is On

Product Name: Pavillion DV6-1000
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 7 (64-bit)
My laptop doesnt do anything when i press the power button
The light is on by the AC adapter port
It comes on randomly sometimes when i press it but its all luck based
I tried the 15 second power hold thing and it didnt work
HELP

Hello @peanis,

 

I suspect that the issue could be with the System Board. 

 

If your PC is under warranty, Please contact HP and get it diagnosed  - 

Contact HP

 

Verify the warranty status here:

 http://support.hp.com/us-en/checkwarranty   

 

 

If not under warranty, Then you will have to take it to any of the HP authorised service providers or Local computer repairs nearby. You may have pay for the repair.
