May the forums be with you 😉

As I understand the laptop's DVD drive is making a noise each time you either turn it on or power it off,

I will need a few more details to provide an accurate solution:

Is this an excessive noise?

When was the last time you did not have this issue?

Did you install any BIOS updates, lately?

Have you performed any steps on your own before posting on HP Forums?
