Dear All...I have just purchased an HP X2 Detachable PC - 10-P010NR. There was a major issue of memory with Windows 10 64x on a 32GB internal drive, hence, I decided to remove all the programs from it. Things were going fine till, my windows re-installation stuck @ 33% and I rebooted the PC.
From then, I tried everthing and even clean my internal drive space, thinking that I will be able bo boot it again with USB. However, I have disabled Secured Boot in BIOS, but, unable to find Legacy option and hence, unable to booth my PC with USB. Now, it is stuck at screen stating - BOOT DEVICE NOT FOUND. PLEASE INSTALL AN OS ON YOUR HD screen.
Please help and advise if anything can be done now? PC is under warranty, but is an overseas purchase.

Thank you for joining HP Forums,
I'll be glad to help you 🙂
As I understand you've erased the EMMC and need assistance in reinstalling windows,
Here's all you need to know about the message - "Boot Device Not Found Error" (Click here),
To enable the secure boot device:
Secure Boot is enabled by default on computers that were manufactured with Windows 8 or Windows 10. If Secure Boot has been disabled or if you are enabling a Notebook PC that was upgraded from Windows 7 or an earlier version, follow these steps to enable it:
-
Turn off the computer.
-
Press the power button to turn on the computer, then immediately press Esc repeatedly, about once every second, until the Startup Menu opens. This may take more than one attempt.
-

I also recommend a hardware test to be on a safer side: Click here for details
Let me know if those steps worked for you.
If they did, that’s awesome!

Hello Foster,
Te resolution for this issue is explained in a few other threads but here is a quick guide:

- open task manager
- File -> run new task
- type "msconfig" & press enter
- go to services, untick "app readiness"
- press apply, OK and reboot
