Product: HP Spectre model no - i3-4001d
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
My laptop after a recent update was rendered dead and now it won't boot up or it won't charge.
I think I need to clear the CMOS battery but I can't get into BIOS since the laptop won't boot up.
Now I pried open the back cover to manually reset the CMOS battery but was unable to locate it.
Please help me find out the problem and if the problem is with the CMOS battery then please help me locate it.
Thanks in advance.

Hi,
I can't find HP i3-4001dx (letter i) but HP 13-4001dx (number 1)
http://support.hp.com/us-en/document/c04619319
Not much information about CMOS (ie RTC) battery but how to work with CMOS on the following document:
http://h10032.www1.hp.com/ctg/Manual/c04807803.pdf
Please bote: Try it at your own RISK. Playing around with BIOS could brick your machine.
Regards.
