Hp probook 4330s
Microsoft Windows 7 (32-bit)

Hey guys.

serial number: [Personal Information Removed]

Product number: LW774ES#UUW

I went to school 3 - 4 year ago and there we all bought a probook 4330s, and i just opened it again because i needed a computer. and i want to rebook windows. but my problem is that the school put a password on the bios, i have tried calling them but the no longer have the password or the usb to reset it.
I have tried booting some utilities from usb but i can't because i can't change the booting order. and there is no cd player in the computer.
I have been looking around on the internet for 1 day now and i'm really tired of it, so i was hoping someone smarter than me could help, because i'm totally blank.

Dear Customer,

Welcome to HP Support Forum and we are glad to assist you.

This is to inform you that all HP Business Notebooks such as Probooks  or Elitebooks have more stringent security than consumer models infact they don't produce 'halt codes', the password cannot be derived from the Serial Number and the

code is stored in non-volatile memory so removing the RTC cell will not reset the password in this case.

  1. Please have a look at this link.

http://forums.mydigitallife.info/threads/49497-HP-Probook-Elitebook-BIOS-Password-Reset-Utility

  1. Replace the BIOS chip

http://www.ebay.com/itm/HP-Elitebook-8470p-8470w-8570p-8570w-8770w-Programmed-Bios-Chip-No-Password-...

  1. Please Contact HP Business Notebook support they should be able to send you a customized SMC.bin file which you can use at boot to reset the password.

Hope this helps, for any further queries reply to the post and feel free to join us again

I have been looking for hours but i can not seem to finde any way to contact support, i do not want to chat because i'm no that good in english, so i can't type fast enough.
And an email adress seems impossible to get hold of.

Thanks for fast reply 🙂 i have allready tried the link without any luck, and my warranty is out and i don't want to pay for the chip to be replaced since i'm currently not working
