Initial Password

Hello, i was cheking a laptop (Hp pavilion entertainment pc dv2000) that i had long time ago turned off... The thing is i don't remember the initial password... It is like a dark background and in the center of the screen it appears a blue advertisement, asking me "Enter Password"...

I have tried everything: typing esc after turning on, typing f2, f8, f9, f10, f12; also i made the procedure of taking away the RTC battery but, the advertisement is still apearing.

Hi,  Juanca:

Enter any BIOS password 3 times, and the PC should generate a system disabled (halt) code.

Then read the first post at the link below for what to do with the halt code you received from the PC.

If you read the link I posted, the person gives you the instructions for how to clear the password that's on there.

Or yes, you can keep using that code to get in.

I hope you're ok. I have an issue: i sent my laptop to get fixed and i had taken photo of my halt codes but i think i erased them... I tried to enter at the link you posted above but it doesn't let me in... Can you help me please?

Just enter the system disabled code you got from the PC in the box at this website below and it will generate an unlock code for you to enter.
