Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

This happened after I left my laptop charging overnight, but I’ve shut it down. Then the next morning, my laptop won’t turn on instead when charged the light near the charger have flickering white lights. Even when I tried to pressed the power button, the white light flickered  again. So far I’ve tried to open the AC adapter and pressed the power button for 15 seconds. I charged it without the AC adapter, and with it. Nothing works!

@AliaD,

Welcome to HP Support Community,

This looks like a possible hardware failure with the notebook. However, I would suggest you these steps here:

Perform a Hard reset on the notebook:

Let's start off by performing a Hard reset on the notebook

Before power resetting your computer, do the following:

  1. Disconnect or remove all peripheral devices. Start up the laptop and test the computer by itself, and then reconnect one peripheral device at a time.

  2. Turn over the computer and look for a battery compartment door.

For more details, please refer to this support document for - HP Notebook PCs - Computer Does Not Start (Windows 10)

Alternatively, you may follow this link - HP Notebook PCs - Computer Does Not Start and Emits an LED or Beep Code

If you have followed the steps suggested from the above links and still having the issue. I'm afraid this could be a possible hardware failure with the notebook.

I would recommend you contact our HP support team for further assistance.

HP support can be reached on www.hp.com/contacthp

Select the product type.

Enter the serial number of your device or select let HP detect your product option.

Select the country from the drop-down.

You should see the HP phone support number or Chat option listed.

Let me know how it goes and you have a great day!

If you wish to show appreciation for my efforts, mark my post as Accept as Solution. Your feedback counts!

Cheers!
