HP ENVY x360 15.6 inch 2-in-1 Laptop PC 15-ew0000 (549V5AV)

Why does my laptop refuse to turn on some days. Up until now it have always turned on eventually when I have unplugged and tries a few times but this might not always be the cases. Wondering if anyone other than me have had this problem.

We get this issue a lot more than you might think.  Folks have even asked us how to configure their laptop to turn on automatically when they plug it in -- and as far as I know, there is no way to do this.

If this happens only once, and never turns on again, this implies a power supply failure or a motherboard failure -- both of which spell the end for the laptop because those aren't replaceable components.

But if it starts rarely and gets more frequent over time, that implies that the circuit contacts of the power button are wearing out -- and to confirm that, you have to pay someone to tear down the laptop and physically, and electrically, check out the power button contacts. This is not something that is cheap to do.
