I have an HP Envy 15 Notebook PC
Serial # [Personal Information Removed]
Product: E1P05AV
Model # 15t-j100
How do we reset a Power on Password?
We enter an incorrect password three times and we do NOT get any codes, it just does a restart. If we do this again, it will go into recovery mode with Advance Options. But, does not allow us to reset the Power on Password.

Hi,
Shutdown the notebook, remove the AC Adapter and then remove the battery.
Hold down the power button for 30 seconds, then remove the HDD - Page 56 of your Maintenance & Service Guide.
Plug in the AC Adapter ( leave the battery out for the moment ), start the notebook and see if you now get a hash generated after hitting enter 3 times.
