I know its probably not HPs fault but Microsoft was of no help and I could never get my drivers to work. AMD said it was a windwos problem, eventually I got tired of the POS knows as windows 10 and just switched to a refurbished unit running windows 7 and it runs great with no problems. Maybe someday they will figure out 10 and how to make it run right.

Nope, took it in to bestbuy, they said they had to do a fresh install then proceeded to update everything including the AMD stuff and same thing. It just gets stuck dueing bootup after installing a updated AMD catalyst control center and they told me just dont ever update it and I will be fine. Decided to return it and just never get anything with windows 10 installed. I keep hearing stories and revies about what a piece of crap Windows 10 is.

Hello, if you are still having this problem, try to boot into windows safe mode and roll back the video drivers. This worked on my HP 15-afl3ldx and it has worked fine ever since. After you boot into windows safe mode, go to the start menu and search for device manager. Open it, and select AMD Radeon HD 8400 / R3 Series (yours might look a little different) under display adapters. Under driver you should see the roll back driver option. Click on this and it should fix the problem.
