Hp Pavalion

Hello rencetly got an HP pavalion  Model:i7-ab080nz

i reinstalled the windows and dit some updates and in the support assistant it showed me the latest version of bios 2020

and the bios i had was from 2016

do anw i downloades it and inastalles it

i waited till the progres went 100% also i dit plug it

then after it restarted it self  the screen was black nothing i tried bios recovery with usb but it wont respond  to the command nothing shows up only black screen

any help?

I'm presuming that the Windows install media was NOT created from HP, right  Well, that was a BIG MISTAKE! Why? Because HP laptops are built using custom components and ONLY  HP supplies the drivers for those components.  Any install media you build or get from Microsoft will only have generic drivers -- and that will result is hardware issues after installation -- which you will not be able to fix because you don't have the drivers.

 

If your PC is a 2016 model or newer, you should see if you can make a bootable USB recovery drive using the HP cloud recovery tool on a working PC.


The recovery drive can then be used to install Windows and the HP drivers and utilities that originally came with your PC.


You will need a working PC and a 32GB USB stick to hold the recovery files. Here is the link:
