Product: envy m7k010dx
Operating System: Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)
Notebook does not turn on when pressing power button. The power led light next to where ac adapter plugs in is orange, usually it's white. No other lights or indicators on the notebook come on.
I have gone thru the guided troubleshooter and tried all the steps, including hard reset.
When i push the power button the orange led goes out for one second then comes back on. If i remove the battery and try just ac power, the power led is white again but notebook still doesn't turn on. If i try to start on battery power without ac power connected, i get no led light and nothing happens (i suspect battery is not charged)
I suspect either bad ac adapter or power supply but not sure which. Hoping the led light descriptions i gave are some indication of the problem.
Thanks

Thank you for reporting your solution. That's the exact scenario a client related to me and I suggested she try a new power adapter before we went any further. I'll follow up and post if that was her solution as well.
