Repairing a friend's old g4

Theres no problem with windows,im able to use it normally, means no freeze, error pop up and etc.

The problem however lies in restart and shut down.

The first time i boot from power off state is just fine, but shut down (from windows key,not from power button)do not power off the laptop.Instead it goes just as restart would be,with bios application error 501 as a bonus.Pressing the power button once result in restart like state, along with bios application error 501,every single time.Turning off the laptop from holding power button is the only way to shut it down.

NO HP/COMPAQ logo appear at all,Im unable to enter bios menu, instead of ESC key to enter startup menu at bottom left,it show F1 system information.I have test ESC,F1,F2,DEL,F10,F11, none of them manage to get me to bios/startup menu.

I have tried making HP_TOOLS(fat32,499mb) partition in hardisk ,as it appear that the partition have been deleted when the laptop upgraded to win 7 64 bit ultimate.Install uefi support, system diagnostic, update bios(all of them from hp support driver with exactly same laptop model).Reseating ram, reset cmos setting via removing cmos battery, remove hardisk(to my amusement, the application error 501 even showed up when booting up w/o harddisk).

I have seen video about hp quicklook is the cause, but this laptop doesnt even listed to support hp quicklook, tested with trying to install quicklook 2,pop up about the laptop model does not support the model, installation canceled afterwards.

TL;DR

UNABLE TO ACCESS TO BIOS/START UP/RECOVERY/DIAGNOSTIC MENU

the cycle:

*power off > on(no application error 501 appear) > windows > shut down/restart (via windows key) > laptop restart anyway > black screen with application error 501 appear > shut down(via holding the power button) > back to *

anyone got a solution?
