HP Recommended
HP Pavilion x360 13" Intel i3
Microsoft Windows 10 (64-bit)

Just bought this model from an Argos store, UK on 1st August 2016

Tried to boot it up within 30 minutes of purchase.

Message comes up on screen - "The system has detected that a cooling fan is not working correctly .... continued operation not recommended"

Its going back tomorrow for a full refund (I won't accept any offer of a repair) This laptop is not as described and not fit for purpose.

I expected instant plug and play and quite liked this model

I have read the forum on exactly the same subject for various HP models, not just mine.  The fact that this message came up on the very first start-up of a brand new laptop suggests that some HP laptops have an inherent fault with the cooling system.

I emailed HP UK immediately and they have not replied.

Shame on you HP - This is not a very good first impression of your products.  The fact that complaints have been going on for some time about cooling fans with no apparent intervention from you dents my confidence in your products.

More disturbing is that users of your laptops are advocating the use of a toothpick to fix the problem.

You appear to be neglecting the customer
