Strangest thing happened suddenly. I have a co-worker with two matching HP 24" monitors connected to her HP 2012 90W Docking station. Once with VGA, the other with DVI. Both monitors were working fine, but suddenly only ONE will display an image. The other monitor keeps flashing that it is going into power saving mode.
MON1 = VGA
MON2 = DVI
If I unhook the VGA cable from MON1, MON2 displays fine.
If I unhook the DVI cable from MON2, MON1 displays fine.
If I swap the cables around (make MON1 connect via DVI, MON2 via VGA) the issue is the exact same. I have 3 of these docking stations laying around and I've tried all of them and they all do the same thing. I've tried differnet VGA and DVI cables and the issue persists. I installed HP Support Advisor to download and install drivers and still nothing.
How here's the real kicker: If I remove one of the monitors and connect an old 19" HP monitor up, BOTH WORK FINE!!!!!!!!!!! All of the troubleshooting I've done only confuses me more...
I'm completely stumped. Anyone give me any instruction or advise?
