Hello,

My HP Probook 450 is with Windows 7 and the combination FN + F9/F10 is not working. The other FN keys seem to be in order, but I can't change the brightness of the desktop directly with the FN keys.

Can you please help me fix this problem?

Did you just install Windows 7 on it or had the brightness key been working and just stopped? The brightness adjustment depends on the video driver and also on the Hotkey Support driver here:

So I would reinstall the Intel chipset driver, the video (AMD or Intel) and the Hotkey driver and see if it clears up the problem.

For me - on a 850 G3 - the solution was (after hours of searching) to change the keyboard driver to Standard PS/2 instead of the 101/102-key driver. Reboot and done.

Hope this will help some more!

I have just purchased Probook 450 and I am having this problem with Windows 10. The volume hotkeys are working, but the brightness hotkey isnt operational.
