I have a HP ENVY 17 TS and just purchased a 3005PR to add two additional monitors. The monitors are identical and have VGA, displayport, and DVI inputs.
I can get the 3005PR to drive one monitor via display port, but cannot get it to drive the other when connected using a HDMI to VGA converter cable: Windows does not detect it. That monitor works fine when connected directly to the HDMI on the laptop but I am trying to reduce connections.
Can I use the port replicator to drive both simultaneously?
