I have the envy m6-no15dx and have been suffering the same problems - solution that seemed to work for was to go into HP Control Zone Settings and Smart Sense - and click restrict to zone. If you restrict pointing to the right 2/3rds of the touchpad it seems to get better. I noticed that it was only the left third of the touchpad that was giving me problems.
That said, disabling the touchpad and using an external mouse seems to give worry free operation.
