Hi @ivannov

Welcome to HP Forums a great way to get support. It is a terrific place to find answers and tips!

I see that you have keyboard issues with some alphabet keys like “asdfjkl” that don’t work along with the enter key. I’ll be glad to assist you.

We need to figure out first if there is an issue with the keyboard’s hardware by running keyboard diagnostics.

Please perform a hard reset first.

Steps to do it:

  • Power down the computer and unplug the charger. Then remove the battery.
  • Hold down the power button of the unit for 15 seconds to discharge static electrical charges inside the machine.
  • Replace the battery and reconnect the charger. Try to power on the computer.

Please visit this link to run UEFI Hardware diagnostics on the keyboard. Please run the component check for the keyboard. Follow the step “Opening the HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI)” to run UEFI diagnostics.

  1. Hold the power button for at least five seconds to turn off the computer.
  2. Turn on the computer and immediately press the F2 key repeatedly, about once every second.
  3. The HP PC Hardware Diagnostics (UEFI) main menu is displayed.

If the keyboard test passes you could try a system restore to a good known working date when the keyboard worked fine. If the test fails, make a note of  the failure code and contact phone support to service the computer.
