My sisters hp dv4 2165dx notebook boots to the blue HP screen and beeps continually, f10, f8 nothing

gets past this screen. Its a windows 7 machine. no clue as what to do next.

I tried all the test you gave, before submitting the message, The power comes on I get the blue screen with the HP logo and the computer continuously beeps, f10, f8, f2 esc nothing works at startup, just beeps no blinking light or lights at all for that matter. I have taken out harddrive and reset, reset memory, took memory out and the caps lock and scroll lights blink, tried one stick of memory at a time, still just get beeps and blue hp logo screen.

Okay thanks, let me research this issue. I believe I have encountered the blinking caps lock and scroll.

The caps and scroll blink where only with the memory out of the computer, with the memory

in I don't get the blinking only constant beeping and the blue hp logo screen.

Okay thanks for the information. Can you tell me if its a certain number of beeps or if the beeps just go on and on? There are certain beep codes for certain issue when dealing with computers
