My battery is no longer charging even though it is plugged into a power source. Has anyone else had this problem? I have read in other forums that its not a charge cord problem and I have checked my battery and it says it is not one of the recall ones. Is it time for a new laptop? I have had this laptop for quite some time. Please help

You might want to take a look at this document: Battery Does not Power Notebook or Hold a Charge.
It suggests troubleshooting steps to determine if the problem is the battery, the power supply, or the system board.
You might find the answer to your battery/power issue as you work through the steps in that HP support article.
