Bought a stream 8 a little over a year ago and my son accidentally removed the OS. Have a new copy of windows to reload but it keeps asking for an administrator password in BIOS. I never set one up to begin with so no clue what it would be other then a preloaded one from HP. I've tried entering in numbers I've found in previous posts here but no luck so far. I called HP support and did a system scan to make sure hardware was fine, which it is. The person I spoke with told me I shouldn't have any problems installing a new OS. It says to boot from efi but it won't detect SD cards or USB sticks. Please help!! I'd rather not have a barely used $200 paper weight.

Hi:

 

Enter any BIOS password 3 times and the PC should generate a system disabled (Halt) code.

 

If it provides an 8 digit numerical code, enter it in the box below and it the website will generate an unlock code for you to enter the BIOS.
